Oregon Ag Fest- April 26 & 27, 2008
  Ag Fest

Oregon Ag Fest was created to help better educate the public about the importance of agriculture. Ag Fest is presented as a two-day, hands-on, activity-filled festival. It demonstrates how important ag's economic impact and practices are: Showing kids such things as where the food they eat comes from, how sheep are raised for the wool to make clothing, to the importance of our forests for ecology and human survival. For more information including location visit the www.oragfest.com website.

National Ag Day - March 20, 2008
Ag DayWhy celebrate Ag Day? Food and fiber produced by today's farmers are essential to everyday life. It is important that students understand the industry and how relevant it is to their lives. Agriculture is the largest employer in the U.S. Join us as we honor agriculture for providing safe, abundant and affordable products, a strong economy, a source of renewable energy, and a world of job opportunities. Visit the National Ag Day website at www.agday.org for fun ways to bring agriculture to your classroom!
